Lindsay Miller
YOUTH EDUCATION MANAGER
Lindsay Miller has twelve years’ experience developing and delivering science education programs and curriculum for K-12 students, both in and out of the classroom. Prior to her position with Wallowa Resources, she was a classroom science teacher for middle and high school students for four years and still holds current teaching licenses in Idaho and Oregon. In addition to her teaching license, Lindsay has a BS Forest Biology, and an MS in Science Education.
Actively working to stay current in the field of education, she has had specific training incorporating Next Generation Science Standards into curriculum, overcoming academic resistance in students and in trauma informed teaching practices and how to build more resilient students and youth. She has a first hand understanding of the challenges classroom teachers face and is eager to continue the growing collaboration between WR programs and classrooms in Wallowa County.
In the 4 years since starting with Wallowa Resources, Lindsay has had a hand in helping develop and teach each of the Youth Education Programs and is excited to dive in even deeper as Program Manager. She loves living and raising her family in Wallowa County and cherishes the wonderful community she has come to be a part of, both through Wallowa Resources and with her own family. She is committed to continuing the outstanding youth programs Wallowa Resources already delivers and looks forward to working with the public and community partners to make it even better in the future.
