Elena Cussler

Elena was born and raised in McCall, Idaho, spending a lot of time outdoors on her family farm with her parents, sister, and plenty of animals. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Classics, Elena joined the Peace Corps and spent two years teaching English in Indonesia. Upon returning stateside, she tried her hand at big city living in Denver, where she worked as a Program Director for a nonprofit that provided valuable resources to people with Parkinson's. When her now-husband, Paul, found a physician assistant position in Enterprise, Elena was more than happy to return to the mountains so close to home.

Elena is looking forward to using her passion for nonprofits at Wallowa Resources to help preserve and restore the environment that she grew up in. In her free time, Elena enjoys hiking, rafting, gardening, baking, reading, and spending time with her husband and German Shepard, Hilde.
