Learning opportunities beyond the school year
Our after-school and summer programs, Wallowa Resources Exploration of Nature (WREN), provide expanded learning opportunities for our K-12 youth. Out of school enrichment like ours has been shown to improve grades, reduce juvenile crime and academic disciplinary action, and increase business productivity because parents can worry less about after-school care. Parents appreciate our expanded education opportunities, because their kids are learning, exploring the outdoors and feel a genuine sense of belonging within their community. Kids love our programs because they feel safe, make new friends and, most importantly, have fun! Join us as we work to get every kid exploring and trying new things with the outdoors as our classroom!
Our programs
We provide fun, safe, experiential learning opportunities on Fridays during the school year, week-long adventure trips in the summer and winter excursions once the snow falls. We want everyone to have equal access to our programs, so we’ve worked hard to eliminate any associated fees. All of our programs are completely free!
