Sally has called Oregon home for over a decade after moving from Boston, MA to attend Lewis & Clark College. After graduating with a Bachelors in Environmental Studies she spent three years as a baker, spending her weekends and time off traversing the state hiking and bouldering. Her passion for the landscape and community development led her to Sustainable Northwest where she worked as Operations Associate. Her work supporting the Energy, Water, and Forest programs inspired her to return to school to advance her career in community development and environmental policy. In 2017 she left Sustainable Northwest to complete her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning at Portland State University. At the same time, she began a new position as part-time Program Associate for the Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition (RVCC). Sally will complete her Masters in June, 2019. She holds two graduate certificates in Energy Policy & Management and Collaborative Governance from Portland State. She is excited to be a part of the RVCC team, and for the opportunity to provide tools and build partnerships across the West that help improve the well-being of rural economies, communities, and landscapes. In her free time, Sally can be found working in the garden with her partner, Alex, or out exploring with her dog, Ziggy.
