Emily grew up in a small rural town in southern Idaho. Growing up she enjoyed fishing, skiing, and camping with her family. After moving to La Grande for college in 2012, she discovered a variety of other outdoor activities including rock climbing and mountain biking. After earning a B.S. in Physical Activity and Health and Wellness from Eastern Oregon University she became director of Get Outside - After School Activity Program (GO-ASAP), an outdoor activity program for middle school adolescents in conjunction with earning her masters in Community Health where she gained experience in teaching adolescents and leading outdoor programs.
Emily is excited to explore and become more familiar with Wallowa County and all that it has to offer as well as get to know the community as a whole!
