Friday WREN is a Friday Science Adventure program. It starts April 5 and runs to May 17th/18th and is for 5-8th graders. To participate in Friday WREN, applications must be turned in by 5pm on March 29th.
A suggested $20 donation per day per student.
Applications will be processed after the application deadline on a first come first servce bases. Enrollment is limited to 15 students per session. In order to be considered, we must receive your application by March 29. Completed materials will be promptly reviewed, and you will be notified of your status after April 1st.

April 5 Snow Science in the Mountains Kick off the WREN seasons by snowshoeing on top of Salt Creek Summit. Learn about avalanche science with local experts and spend the day in the snow!
April 12 Forester for a Day Are you curious what happens in a forest? How do they stay healthy? What are all these trees called? Join for a hike in the woods and learn from local professionals as we become foresters for a day!
April 26 Writing a Landscape Beautiful landscapes have inspired creativity since the beginning of time. Wallowa County is no exception. Join Cam Scott from Fishtrap out on the great landscapes of Wallowa County and get inspired to do some writing of your own.
May 3 Engineering a Future Do you like to build things, get creative and solve problems? Then this day is for you! Explore renewable energy and engineering design and put those designs to the test! Learn to build for a better future!
May 10 Flower Power Come explore the Zumwalt in all it’s glory! Learn about all the many things that grow up on the prairie and take some time with biologists to get up close and personal with the flora of the Zumwalt.
May 12/13 WREN Overnighter End the season with an overnight campout under the stars with fun challenges, games and a campfire to cap it off. We will leave Friday and be back Saturday at 3pm. **Camping gear and food are provided**
