Dr. Paul Hessburg, an expert research landscape ecologist will be in town to present a multi-media presentation called Era of Megafires. Hessburg has been traveling with the presentation to spread awareness. “The current megafire issue is a social problem with an ecological explanation. Era of Megafires addresses how we got here, what’s at stake, and what each of us can do.”

Wallowa Resources along side the Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center will transform the Wallowa County Fairgrounds in Enterprise into an outdoor festival and concert every. Come celebrate this amazing place with us! Over 25 booths have hands-on activities to learn about our people, land, animals, plants, rocks, and water. This family-friendly event allows individuals of all ages to listen, celebrate, and learn about Wallowa County. We hope to see you there!

Friday WREN starts October 6 and runs to November 10. To participate in Friday WREN, applications must be turned in by 5pm on September 28.

Paper Registration forms and 2017 fall brochure and scholarship applications are available. Tuition is $20 to each student per day. A $20 non-refundable deposit is due with registration and the remaining balance is due Friday, October 6
