Fields Ford - Youth Leadership Intern 2017

fieldsA rising junior and Environmental Studies-Humanities major at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, Fields fell in love with the West after moving away from his home in Sewanee, Tennessee. Growing up as the son of professors and farmers, Fields is passionate about the natural world and education, and hopes to share what he’s learned about the environment, literature, and the West with anyone who will listen. Having grown up romping around the woods of his small-town home, he has developed a love for outdoor recreation, and, when not nerd-ing out about nature writing or public lands, can be found climbing, backpacking, or biking. Fields is especially excited about the opportunities for environmental education and recreation in this area, and can’t wait to get to know the interesting folks and awesome landscapes of Wallowa County, while hopefully sharing some of what he knows with the community.
